Cookie policy.

What cookies this website uses, why, and how to manage them in your browser.

01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work properly, remember your preferences, and — where you allow it — help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Similar technologies such as local storage work in much the same way, and this policy covers those too.

02The cookies we use

We group the cookies on this site into two categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function. This covers signing in to your account, keeping a booking in progress as you move through the steps, remembering the cookie choice you make here, and the fraud-prevention cookies Stripe sets when you reach the payment step. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site (which pages are read, on what kind of device) in aggregate, so we can improve it. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which stores nothing on your device and does not track you across other sites. It stays off unless you turn it on.

03Third-party cookies

Some pages embed content served by third parties. These providers may set their own cookies, governed by their privacy and cookie policies rather than ours. We keep such embeds to a minimum, and the ones we do use are:

  • Google Maps — the map on our contact page. It loads with the page rather than waiting for consent, so if you would rather it did not run, block third-party cookies for that page in your browser.
  • Unsplash— much of the photography across the site is served from Unsplash’s image hosting.
  • Stripe — our payment provider, covered under strictly necessary above because it only loads at the payment step and its cookies exist to prevent card fraud.

04Managing cookies

You are in control. Your choice can be changed at any time — it is as easy to withdraw as it was to give:

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you:

  • see the cookies stored on your device and delete them;
  • block third-party cookies, or all cookies from specific sites;
  • clear all cookies when you close the browser.

Look for “cookies” in your browser’s settings or help pages (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge each have a dedicated guide). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — such as booking — from working properly.

05Changes & contact

We may update this policy from time to time — for example when we add or change a service that uses cookies. The latest version will always be published on this page, with the date above.
